The series

The Blue Jackets are 17-16-2 against the Kings, including 6-10-1 in Los Angeles. This is the fourth and final meeting this season.

The setup

The Blue Jackets are winless in their past four games after a 3-0 start to the Claude Noel reign. The Jackets need to reload their power play which has gone 0 for 10 since the Olympic break. The Kings have lost their past two games, but remain in solid playoff position.

• Penalty kill: 82.4 percent (13th)

• Player to watch: RW Rick Nash doesn't have a point in two games since the Olympics and was held without a shot in Saturday's 2-1 loss to San Jose. It was only the second time this season Nash didn't record a shot.

• Injury update: LW Kristian Huselius (upper body) questionable, D Rostislav Klesla (groin, hip tears) out.

• Player to watch: F Fredrik Modin, traded last Wednesday from the Blue Jackets, has one goal in two games with his new team.
