CBJ, you say ...

Exclusive video

Worth repeating

“2010-2011 could be an exciting year for CBJ fans as the team seems to be getting better and better. A couple of moves and they should be right there in the end.”

TOP GAME

Thrashers 6, Hurricanes 4

Atlanta scores five goals in third-period flurry

Twenty minutes of good hockey was all Atlanta needed last night.

Rich Peverley scored the fourth of Atlanta's five third-period goals with 6:03 remaining to help the Thrashers rally past Carolina. Atlanta is 6-1-3 in its past 10 games.

"I think we can still get better," said Bryan Little, who had two assists and set up Peverley's winner. "We only played one period tonight -- the third. Once we get that figured out, and once we play a full 60 minutes, we're going to be even more dangerous."

Ilya Kovalchuk had a goal and an assist; Evander Kane, Slava Kozlov, Marty Reasoner and Maxim Afinogenov also scored; and Tobias Enstrom had three assists for the Thrashers.

Ondrej Pavelec made 32 saves.

OTHER GAMES

• Sabres 4, Flyers 2 -- Tim Connolly scored twice in the third period and added two assists for Buffalo.

Ducks 3, Blackhawks 0 -- Teemu Selanne scored twice on the power play, and Jean-Sebastien Giguere had his first shutout of the season to help Anaheim end Chicago's winning streak at eight games -- one short of the franchise record.

Islanders 3, Penguins 2 -- John Tavares scored on a rebound with 6:12 left in the third period to lift New York.

Wild 5, Avalanche 3 -- Chuck Kobasew had a hat trick, and Andrew Brunette scored the go-ahead goal on a power play midway through the third period.

Devils 2, Bruins 1, SO -- Jamie Langenbrunner and Zach Parise scored shootout goals to lift New Jersey.

Maple Leafs 6, Panthers 4 -- Niklas Hagman and Phil Kessel each scored two goals, and Alexei Ponikarovsky had a goal and three assists for Toronto.

Flames 3, Red Wings 0 -- Miikka Kiprusoff made 40 saves for his 32nd career shutout.

Lightning 5, Rangers 1 -- Kurtis Foster had two goals, and Steven Stamkos scored his team-high 16th for Tampa Bay.

Blues 3, Predators 1 -- Brad Boyes, David Backes and Paul Kariya scored for St. Louis, which ended Nashville's winning streak at seven.

Coyotes 5, Stars 2 -- Lauri Korpikoski scored his first two goals of the season for Phoenix.
