Blue Jackets defenseman Marc Methot is among 20 NHL players who elected salary arbitration
yesterday, the NHL Players' Association said.
The Blue Jackets and Methot, a restricted free agent, can continue negotiating on a contract
until their hearing date. Arbitration hearings will be held in Toronto from July 20 to Aug. 4.
History shows that most of these never reach that point.
