Ohio Dominican takes a big step
In only their seventh season, the Panthers jump to Division II, with a bump up in excitement as well

Dr. Peter Cimbolic has been awaiting the opening game of the football season almost like a player about to charge on to the field with the marching band playing in the background.

Not all of his excitement has to do with this being his first game as president of Ohio Dominican University.

Aging British keyboardist keeps music fresh

British keyboardist and bandleader Brian Auger is well into his fourth phase in nearly 50 years performing. He defined the era last night during two feverish sets in Woodlands Tavern, previously the Thirsty Ear Tavern, a location he has visited regularly in recent years.

At 71, Auger, with his current Oblivion Express, has settled into touring clubs and delivering a bread-and-butter menu constructed from hallmarks of the first three parts of his career.
