Blue Jackets

Jackets' rare feat

Saturday December 24, 2011 7:22 AM

The Blue Jackets became the first NHL team to score three power-play goals during a five-minute major penalty since Philadelphia did it against Atlanta in 2004. Predators right wing Brian McGrattan was given an interference major and a game misconduct for a late hit on Jared Boll during the first period of a 6-5 Nashville victory on Thursday. Jeff Carter had two goals and Ryan Johansen added another during the ensuing power play.
